[TNS-list] Your Leadership Needed on PTA Executive Board

Dear Neighborhood School Community,

I hope you'll tolerate a tiny bit of personal reflection about my
feelings.  I'm writing to request help in forming the Parent Teacher
Association Executive Board for next year.  However, it occurs to me that
with everything going on, this may be a trivial matter for many of us.
When I consider what some of us are going through, I have a significant
feeling of trepidation about asking for more from our community.  Each one
of us has perspectives, insight and ideas that are crucial to our community
at TNS.  Your leadership on the PTA executive board is necessary, but I
think it is worth saying explicitly that I'm requesting this of you with
sincere humility.  With that out of the way . . .

*Please join the TNS PTA Executive Board for the 2020-21 school year.*

Our PTA Executive Board consists of five positions, each of which is
usually shared by two people.  *All parents and guardians* of children
attending TNS are welcome and encouraged to join the executive board.  The
five positions are as follows:

   1. President (or co-Presidents)
   2. Vice-President of Events and Fundraising (or co Vice-Presidents)
   3. Secretary (or co-Secretaries)
   4. Treasurer (or co-Treasurers)
   5. Parent Engagement Liaison

Please see the attached document for an explanation of what each position
entails.

Several members of the current PTA board expect to continue, and all the
members of the current PTA board are keen on providing assistance to the
incoming executive board.  If you step forward for any of these positions
you will receive support and guidance from both the continuing and retiring
executive board.

Even if you are sure you cannot commit to joining the executive board, it
would be an immense help if you could encourage others to run.

The date on which we will hold the online election will be determined soon.
