[TNS-list] Get Together with Noemi and Alice this Friday

Dear Families,



Presently our lives are not what we envision for us or our children.  We thought that our lives had turned upside down with the virus, staying home and being with our family members 24/7.  So, we began to adjust, plan, accept how we needed to live.


BUT WOW, now there is another urgency added to our lives: the long-deserved need to take action to stand up to our country for the mistreatment of the black communities in this country and around the world.  So, it makes all of us wake up, take notice, talk to our children, move towards a change for a community that has been neglected, ignored, abused -- to do our part. This work begins at home.  How do we do that?



This Friday I would like to propose to talk about “FAMILY MEETINGS: HOW DO WE ENHANCE FAMILY UNITY.”  Attached you will find three samples of what a family meeting can look like.  Remember: keep it simple.  It should be decided as a family how you want your family meetings to look.



Please keep in mind that you are always welcome to come and talk about anything that you need to.

 Alice will be in our Get Together until next Friday, June 19th.   I want to thank Alice for her kindness, wisdom, and experience that she has contributed to the group.  Thank you, Alice.  I will continue the Get Together for parents on Fridays from 2 to 3 PM. through the summer.
