Hello TNS Families,

The next Eco meeting is Friday 4/12 after drop-off 8:35 in the small
cafeteria. Bring your ideas and help with the upcoming Earth Day Fair!
Some of what we've been working on...

1) *Earth Day Fair is on Thursday, May 9*. We've been working with Garden
and Wellness committees, as well as teachers in planning this year's Earth
Day Fair* on Thursday, May 9. It will be a full day of interactive
activities meant to bring everyday awareness in areas of wellness,
gardening, and the environment. If you are interested in helping with one
of the stations at the fair on May 9, please come to the meeting or send an
email that you are available to help.

2) *Climate Justice & Fridays for Future: *A climate change postcard
campaign was launched with some 5th graders. There will be a table at the
Earth Day Fair, encouraging students to create postcards with a message to
our elected officials.

3) *Marker Recycling Challenge: *Each class will be invited to collect
non-working makers and bring to the earth day fair to be weighed and see
which class brings in the most. (Part of the ongoing CrayolaColor Cycle
program.) Both schools participating.

4) *Green Team* - Need someone to help initiate 4/5 graders to help with
recycling stations during lunch.

 **The TNS and Star Academy Earth Day Fair is on Thursday, May 9, 2019*
*11am to 2:45pm (set-up at 10:30am) in the 4th Street Courtyard and Garden,
followed by after-school events for parents and students, 5-7pm at the
school. More info is forthcoming**
