Do you love TNS? Are you 16 or older? Can you write 200 words? Then PLEASE
submit an entry for the 3rd annual PIX11 "Fuel My School" essay contest!

The essay should answer the question "How does my school make a
difference?" in 200 words or less. Every public school in the 5 NYC
boroughs, Westchester County, Long Island, and New Jersey can enter. There
is no limit to the number of entries—be they from teachers, parents, staff,
or adult alumni. So everyone (yes, YOU!) can give TNS a chance at
winning *$11,000
for school supplies or technology*!

submissions!

Presented by Altice, the Fuel My School competition will award $11,000 for
each winning school and $5,000 for the runner-up in each of three
categories: Elementary Schools, Middle Schools, and High Schools. Finalists
will be contacted the week of April 22, 2019 and their entries will be
aired on PIX11 for viewers to judge via text message. (FOR YOUR REFERENCE:

• Voting for ELEMENTARY SCHOOL finalists will take place April 29, 2019
5:00 am through May 1, 2019 12:00 pm
• The winning ELEMENTARY SCHOOL will be announced LIVE on PIX11 Morning
News on May 3, 2019

(Middle School voting will take place May 6, 2019 5:00 am through May 8,
2019 12:00 pm with winners announced May 10, 2019. High Schools voting will
take place May 13, 2019 5:00 am through May 15, 2019 12:00 pm with winners
announced May 17, 2019.)
