You've all received the e-mails over the last few weeks urging you to
join other Neighborhood School families and all the other city
schools down at City Hall on Wednesday to rally against city and
state school budget cuts. It's important that we come out in force
to show how upset we are that our children's funding is being taken
away at the same time that large corporate contracts are still thriving.

Show them how you feel !! Come to the RALLY !!

> RALLY AT CITY HALL
> Wednesday, March 19 at 4:00 pm
> A year ago, our state and city leaders finally made commitments to
> invest the resources into the
> classroom that our school children need if we are to succeed in
> getting the next generation ready for college and the challenging
> 21st century workforce. These promises were not political campaign
> promises — they were budgetary commitments that were enacted into
> public policy.
>
> Our children had to wait 14 years for the courts and our elected
> leaders to recognize and fund their constitutional right to a
> sound, basic education.
>
> We may face uncertain economic times ahead, but
> the promises made for funding our children's educations must be kept!
