Please join coda in its second education meeting to work on lower east side/east village educational issues. Diversity and school admission is a priority issue. See link from Bloomberg's website discussing diversity. If it is important for his business, it should be as important for his schools. Please get involved.

Progressive Political organization invites Parents and Activists to a
Campaign to Save Our Schools
CODA(Coalition for a District Alternative), Seeks to energize parents and community activist of the Lower East Side/East Village to get involved and organized around neighborhood educations issues to protect our children and advance progressive politics. Together we will develop a platform and a strategy to keep our schools racially and economically diverse, protect our educators, stop military recruitment in our schools and return to a system that respects local communities and local decision making.
DATE: Wed March 26, 2008 from 6:00pm – 7:30pm
PLACE: Den of Cin

Since 1992 CODA has been a rallying point in the Lower East Side for progressive politics. We combine community activism with electoral organizing, and fight to preserve the rich diversity of our neighborhood.
